The nearest international airport is located in Kraków at a distance of
about 110 km from Zakopane. You might consider arriving to Kraków
one or two days before the conference to visit this historical city.
Let us know about the time and place of your arrival (and departure),
we might assist you with arrangements for your stay in Kraków and/or

hotel reservations in Kraków.

The Kraków-Balice airport is served by several mainline airlines (LOT,
Lufthansa, British Airways, Austrian Airlines, Alitalia) as well as a number
of low-cost carriers (Easy Jet, Ryanair, Sky Europe, Germanwings).
The distance from the airport to the city center is about 11 km. A shuttle
train runs between the airport and the main railway station in the center
of Kraków, The train schedules and information about other transportation
options can be found at the airport web site.

For those of you staying in Kraków before or after the conference, we
enclose a schematic plan of the Old City. Marked on the plan are the
Railway Station, Plac Matejki (the place of departure of the conference
bus to Zakopane) and some of the hotels in which we pre-reserved
rooms for the participants.
